He’s at it again. P&C is pleased to mention the amazing Mike Rugel over at the Delta Blues Museum has recorded up yet another one of his famous blues podcasts: this time, tunes written about the Jim Crow South.

The podcasts features tracks from Cow Cow Davenport, the beloved Leadbelly, and even a female blues singer: Maggie Jones. I highly reccommend this read about the role blues music played in not only helping the black community deal with this disgraceful, dirty time in American History, but in the ways in which it helped them to resist.
