That didn’t take long. Just weeks after Simian Mobile Disco slammed us with their new track, off their forthcoming sophomore release, with “Audacity of Huge” feat. Chris Keating of Yeasayer fame, the mixmasters are already reworking the track.
Naum Gabo’s remix of “Audacity of Huge” is pretty intriguing. No word, as yet, on whether it will appear as a b-side to the single’s August 3 release.
Temporary Pleasure was recorded up at the duo’s east London studio space betwixt 2008 and 2009. P&C had the “pleasure” of being introduced to a few of the tracks as part of their latest live gig set, which rolled through Boston’s Paradise in April. They sounded massive.
Temporary Pleasures is out just a few weeks on from the August 3 single release, at August 17. The new record will also feature guest vocals from the lovely Beth Ditto of Gossip, as well as Alex Taylor of Hot Chip, Gruff Rhys, and even Telepathe.
