Undiscovered ’til Now: Free Jazz Bitmaps, Volume 1, II of VI.

Have I been in the dark? Apparently, since I’m just discovering the beauty about this brilliant lathe-cut series from Nick Butcher, a Chicago-based designer and musician known for his minimal soundscapes.

But on the Jazz Bitmaps project, hey lays tribute to Chicago’s finest–free jazz and house.

You can check it out over at his bandcamp and gobble the two cuts on Vol. 1
