Lefse Records has announced this brilliant Way Slow Series, which aims to push artists to try out those things–instrumentally–they’d never normally do.

Brilliant as hell.

Artists are encouraged to try out meandering instrumental tracks, include things like kids’ tunes, tracks that never made records they released, and collaborations, spoken word, you name it. There are no limits; the odder, the better, and the less it actually sounds like you, the better.

Volume 1 is courtesy Banjo or Freakout. It will drop 10/12.
