These certainly are trying times. I’ve started and stopped humbly making this mix for weeks now. It’s been a journey. What I decided on was this: tunes to make us mourn what we miss, tunes to make us get up and move, and ultimately, tunes that elicit memories with friends, families, at gigs, and more. Because there’s one thing we may not be doing for awhile–and that’s enjoying, together, the music we love, in the places we love best. Those hot, sweaty, intimate clubs are but a distant figment now; and all we can do is collectively listen, together, and apart.

no. 46 features old and new tracks alike–from some of my comfort favorites. Included in this list are LCD Soundsystem, Waxahatchee, Hot Chip, Princess Nokia, Whitney, The XX, and deep cuts from The Sound of Arrows and The Streets, to name a few. All tunes with memories attached; all tunes that I used to get through something hard and ultimately, to end up dancing it out, with those that I love.
