Whilst I was living in Washington, D.C. as a green young journalist, there was few equally minded punk monkeys to myself. So, I turned to seminal punk act Bad Brains, who, like me, were really a fusion of different things–a bit jazzy, a bit funky, and seriously punky.

When a city filled with khakis and blues leaves you feeling isolated, at least you have “I Against I” and “I Survived I”.
