Inspired by the incredible Werner Herzog film Fitzcarraldo,the new The River 12-inch EP from Montreal’s CFCF is a pretty brilliant bit of ambient electronica.

The repetition is perfect for humble blogger today–particularly on opening track “Before and After Light”.

The River will drop, at a limited 550 copies, on 10/12.

If you’ve never seen Herzog’s masterpiece Fitzcarraldo, you should. Humble blogger was lucky enough to have a viewing of this film as homework way back in college. Brilliant.
