Condemned to rock n’ roll mixes. All day.

Today, I’m working my way through the brilliant “Day of 200 Songs” from one of my favorite music blogs, Condemned to Rock n’ Roll.

The project works like this: in honor of the blogger’s 200th post, the goal was to get 200 people who read the blog (or perhaps those who even only read that 200th post) or friends they know to submit their favourite songs so that they could be compiled into 10 mixes for everyone to share.

A brilliant endeavor really, and one that turned out entirely fruitful. The mixes are delicious, diverse, and filled with unending desire. I’ve been listening most of the day, and have been pleased with the rich collection of tunes: form Arab Strap, to Tom Waits, Mayonnaise, The Pink Mountaintops, The Magnetic Fields, Echo & The Bunnymen, Goldfrapp, Chapeau Claque, Of Montreal, Owen Pallett…

Ok, you get the point.

The audio mixes are available for download in all their glory, so what are you waiting for?
