In just a few months, I’ll be sipping drinks at a beach house in Florida, and don’t mind if I do bring along a record that will fit the entire experience perfectly.
It’s a teen dream, really.
And it’s been since I was, basically, a teen, that I’ve gone on vacation to lay on the beach and soak in the sun.
So, it’s completely fitting that Beach House, one of my favorite haze-induced acts, are releasing their latest go around, aptly titled Teen Dream, in just 3 days time.
Their jump to Sub Pop records hasn’t created any strange diversions in their sound; the entire Teen Dream record is a hazy experience in delicious pop melodies behind a backdrop of atmospheric dream sequences no one could resist.
Standout tracks include “Lover of Mine” (absolutely addicting!) and “Norway”.
Teen Dream hits record shops January 26.
