The brilliant but largely dormant since his debut album, Shamir, has released a second record this year (the last being March’s Cataclysm). The self-released Shamir is available for streaming on spotify and can be purchased at bandcamp.

The Philadelphia-based artist’s debut record, , was a humble favorite here at the blog and Shamir’s performances at Pitchfork Music Festival were tops. This hazy, guitar-driven new sound is a moment; Shamir’s high notes are on full display.
